Don’t play alone! Find a friend. These piano accompaniments are VERY simple and your musical journey is far more likely to arrive at your desired destination if you can find a friend to enjoy it with. The pianist in this video has accompanied me on all the Beethoven Sonatas, concertos, college juries and more. One of the perks of playing a string instrument is how it brings us together with other musicians in orchestras, quartets, trios, and with pianists for recitals and concerts. Find a senior living center, school, or church to perform at. Cellists who don’t perform don’t improve like cellist who do.
Pro Tip
In a marathon you rest while you can! If this piece is a stretch for your endurance be sure to breathe and rest during the short introductions that precede each variation. A little rest can go a long way!
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! You did it! Once you feel you’ve got it, then PERFORM it! Then go onto French Folk Song in the next lesson.
